CB Radio shops

Yea, that midland piece is surely a cherished one, just got to be better than the Bird and all them dang slugs rollin round the garage floor

 

I second Clays, good people, very professional, Robert has aligned and tuned a couple radios for me, did a really good job on my Galaxy 99v2 after I allowed Mesa cb in Wildwood Fl to make it a mess ( remove limiter) , they do offer a high watt performance tune but I decline anything that involves modifying componants, Clays has a nice showroom, clean well organized bench, excellent selection of radios and antennas at good prices, would highly recommend them.

 

@Triple Digit Bullhauler I've been using this shop for around 3 years now and have no horror stories to tell. Anything but, actually.

 

They've done a couple radios for me in the past and they were just fine.
Definitely better than most

 

Is that the shop upstairs in a mom and pop truck stop if I’m not mistaken there was a TA or pilot up the road.

 

Only shop I'll even let touch my radio is Allen's CB Shop in Calhoun, Louisiana. They are located at exit 103 on I-20. I've been going there for years and have never had a bad experience. The have prices listed and won't try to rip you off.

 

Low aspirations? What type of performance are you looking for measured in miles?

 

Seriously, you should see the cobra 29 I have that was tuned at Allen’s in Calhoun on a scope. I’m reminded of RAR SWP units. I refuse to use it and won’t even give it away. I don’t want to take a chance of that ever being heard on the airwaves again.

 

The techs I think a funny are on the radio advertising full peak and tweek all the way to the legal limit. Hmmm, in most case the radio are at the legal limit.

So you want a clean legal tune up, Im a licensed General Class Tech, with a HAM license also, send me your radio and include your return address (for returning of the pieces) , Oh say 120 buckum's alnd you'll be guarnteed to make me happy, sometime in the next year or two I'll tune radio all the way up to the legal MAXIMUM levels , audio and rf or less and I might ship back, well I'll send you a radio just may not be yours.

Anyway you get all this , freight collect, and make a tech / truckdriver very happy.

 

Many dont like him for what ever reason but i have no prob with FINE TUNE CB
