A group of young adults laughed at my phone.
I was marveling at this one guys, it was so fast, and smooth.
He said it's a Google phone???

So, I showed them my, I think it's an S5??, and they laughed at my phone.

    I am ashamed.

I am the victim of phone / communication bullying.

They secretly had phone envy and laughing was a natural cover up reaction to keep you from finding out.

No you are not a victim. I refuse to let you be one. Hefts a tire thumper, where they be at? We'll see about that laughing. //teasing.

I use a Govt Issue ZTE which by the way happen to have been in trouble for essentially copying secrets or technology developed by others.

I have begun to wonder if it is at all possible to build a cell phone like you build a proper windows desktop computer with the right parts, configuring and so on.

Maybe a hanful of scrap phones. A board from this, a screen from that, a dailpad from soemthing else and a spot for the sim card from god only knows where etc. I wonder. Half tempted to give it a go.

Anyway, Ex has a flip phone, one of two I bought out right at the ATT store like 12 years ago for 650 cool dollars after taxes outright. Her battery is still good and the other phone has sat as a spare on the table ready to be used as parts or a replacement phone with a simple shift of the SIM Card.

I have a older smart phone that got buried in spamming etc and became useless to me. I was making 20 dont call list complaints a day for that number with no result or slow down in spam calling. So I took the sim card out, the battery out and another very useful chip out of there as well. It sits in a ziplock.

All I have to do is reassemble it, feed a recharge card from tracphone to reactivate that number and presto it's intended as a burner phone so that when I use the Train for Maryland or Fly, the TSA can look all they want to (Never mind the 4th amendment and others...) and if they think they found something naughty like how crappy the phone really is in text messaging they can confisicate it. That's ok, I can purchase another tracphone for 20 dollars (Really, look in the walmart store and you will find them for 20 to 30 dollras.) and activate that one under one of 4 more phone numbers under my name within the tracphone system to which I am still assigned but never activated and am back in business. Being a deaf man presents it's own challenges but thanks to Google in the phone I can access a relay which has a specific phone number assigned to me I can call anyone about anything at any time. That number is never given out. But given the Lake Havestu and Fort Meade's NSA complexes I am familiar that the Dear Old Uncle Sam will have it all recorded anyway as he has done since 9-11. It would be so tragic waste of resources if he got really interested in my absolutely boring life. My plans for today is to consume a 1939 era Readers digest hardcover book that has a range of subjects useful to a Nation not quite at war yet. That's going to take about 6 hours of my time today among other plans.
