I got about a 35 mile commute so it’s not quite as bad. I #####ed about it once my first year when gas was $5.00 a gallon and I was losing money just driving in for a $20 unloading fee. Most of the time they pay you that when you drop on the yard anyway.

That time I complained they had me shuttle a few trailers afterward to add a few hourly dollars to the check.

If I have to come in just to drop one at Brown Summit I don't get there at 6 AM. The guy who runs the spotter doesn't get there until 8:30 so anything dropped isn't getting unloaded before then anyway. Half the loads they wont take before 8 anyway. The swing road plant is another matter. Earlier the better for that place. They will look at every seal number and it better match the BOL.

Luberzol in deer Park Texas. Been here 4 hours. They finally pulled me into plant. Maybe need to gamble on 8 hours for the total? Then I'll park the truck in Pasadena and start in the morning. Like 4 ish I think.

My best is an unload in the morning and then a reload after drop and hook to a clean trailer. It was a 16+ hour day. Off duty drive to Pasadena.

Your an OO with altom. It's 5300 to linden from Deer park. Sitting in my truck isn't the end of the world. Demurage, plus sleep at home.

I always hated Luberzol. Absolutely rediculous how long it takes there. I can remember the place I went to in northern Ohio. 5 hours to go from the gate to the rack. 2 hours sitting on the scale. 1 hour to load. 2 hours sitting on the scale again 2 hours for the lab. then had to finish my 10 hour break outside their gate because the qcomm logged me moving. glad I never went back.
