Just because you can't drive while using a bluetooth headset doesn't mean the rest of us can't.

It's legal to use. I wont work for a company that doesn't allow them. End of story.

 

It is different. You have the camera directly in your face. A grocery store employee doesn't have the camera in his face.

Drivers vote with their feet, Saia is hurting for drivers because of these cameras.

We have several drivers at my barn that came over from Saia, and I've met more while at other terminals.

We don't have driver nanny cams in our trucks right now, and I hope corporate management is paying attention. There is no reason an LTL company like Saia should have to beg for drivers and try to tease them in with sign on bonuses.

 

Had my road test and drug test for OD yesterday. Couldnt back that dolley under the second trl to save my life.

That's part of the test? I can do it, but it takes a while at findt. I don't do it often

 

Dont sweat it brother just take you time when backing up to the second trl.

 

What is the odfl pay scale?

I never back the dolly under the trailer. I spot it directly in front of the rear trailer with the tractor then go get the lead trailer.

some guys will claim it's faster to back the dolly under the rear trailer with the lead but very few of those guys can do it without have to pull up and back up a half dozen times at least. I see guys do it and all that time they spend adjusting I can do iit my way and everything hooked up in the same amount of time.

You do have your talented guys who can do it quickly but they are few and far between.
