I was convicted of a felony in 2007 for : Attempt to posess a controlled substance. Why is it that companies won't hire me untill the felony is 3-10 years old?????

The answer sucks, but in 10 years you'll be asking why no one will hire you even though the website clearly says 10 years old.

As harsh as the system is, society, all of us, are even bigger pricks.

    Sincerely good luck though.

It is people like you who are the reason why we have laws, and why people are hight on drugs now, and who end up dead or screwed up for the rest of their lives. I would not hire you either. Your ar risk to the company and others, why in the world would a company turst you with a 80,000 lb missles and possibly a 200,000+ equipment, plus the load.

You can't and won't be able to get work with a reputable company because of the felony and the nature of it. If you went to a school to get your cdl then they took you for the money knowing FULL WELL you wouldn't be able to get a job. I have a 21 and 16 year old dui's. I also have no accidents, tickets, or even warnings since getting my license back 10 years ago. I can't get a job. I don't drink alcohol and never had a problem with drugs. But I can't get work, and now that i have been driving, I can't even get a schlep job because my earning potential was so high. Catch 22.:biggrin_25511:

Even a public pretender should have been able to plea that down to a mis. I'm guessing you made statements that were harmful to your case early on, or there's more to it.

Either way this is what you're dealing with and its pointless to try and make you feel bad about it, you're already dealing with all the consequences.

Call the local schools and ask for a recommendation, or maybe try driving dumps or similar in the meantime. I know there's some crap companies around here that do teams for 10 cents a mile coast to coast because they hire felons etc. Carolina cargo is one.

From the three posts you have made I already know you. Just like a thousand others I know.

Every excuse in the book. You'd do better to accept responsibility and go from there but I still doubt you will ever find good work. And I'm glad

That's the last person we need out here.
