That whole truck abandonment thing works against you depending on who you’re going to work for. Typically, abandonments (Unauthorized location of vehicle) will show up on a Hireright transcript. But not all companies use Hireright, and there are quite a few of them that don’t. Good solid companies who just want to know if you’ve ever failed a drug test or if you have a good driving record. They won’t even know about any abandonment. Usually it’s the bigger companies that frown on abandonments or mega carriers. And they’re not even worth working for anyway. Find a decent company in your area with about 8 or 9 trucks and go there. Small companies are the best. Don’t worry about the abandonment. Life goes on.

So basically you failed to inspect your equipment for what 2 months? That means everytime you logged a pre-trip you lied. You should have noticed that the annual was missing on your first day. Sounds like you and the carrier are a good fit for each other.
