Listen, I was reading a lawyers blog not that long ago. The man was giving advice to other lawyers on things a lawyer can look for in a truck drivers truck to insure that an accident can be proven to be the truck drivers FAULT. Too many empty five hour energy bottles was listed to prove the driver may have been too tired and using energy supplements to push himself past his limit. Imagine that. I have a garbage can in my truck. I throw five hour energy bottles away. I drink half a bottle at the beginning of my shift. So, this lawyer is looking for EVERY ANGLE to MAKE SURE A DRIVE IS HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ACCIDENTS. Now add in driver facing camera. I'm 100% for outward facing cameras. They are invaluable.

i have to say i am extremely lucky in that regards, almost too good to be true for trucking arrangement. i start work at 6am and am usually done by 3pm or so. im not really driving tired, i guess that would mean im lucky. home daily, 8-9 hour shifts, and i make $1k per week.... there really isnt allot to dislike. NO ELOG, no qualcomm to be annoyed with some idiot fleet manager. for the most part, i am left alone. i get my truck in the morning, grab a trailer and pickup 2 farms..... take load back the to yard grab another empty and load 3 more farms, take that back to the yard and then park my truck for the night.
allot of days i make $20+ per hour. especially in the summer, winter get more difficult. im home with my sons at night, spend time with the wife if she is home (she works 2nd shift so we work opposites), i sleep in my own bed, shower at home...... people here complain about local work LOL. im pretty content with it. -
Smells like sheep in here.

occasionally i end up driving a different truck if my truck is in the shop for PM work, i ended up in another truck one day and someone else covered the drivecam with a sample bottle label. i was not the one that covered the ###### thing but i sure wasnt going to be bothered uncovering it either...... nothing was said about that camera being covered so apparently they dont pay it too much mind.
this job allows me to drive a truck ( i actually enjoy driving), make a fairly decent paycheck, and have what i consider to be a normal life. i actually have a better work schedule and pay then the last factory job i held back in 2016...... and i was making $19.45 per hour at that job. im not complaining too much.
as far as grossing $4,500, that's a nice paycheck you have there lol. -
the fact that i drove a truck for two days with a covered camera makes me think about covering the camera in my own truck lol....... im not saying i dont find the driver facing portion annoying. the stupid thing goes off over rough farm driveways, when you are hooking up to a trailer, and when he hit a bump.... it is an annoyance.

I see I've lost. It's what I've expected. No surprises here. They just don't get it, and that's the slippery slope. The concept as in a camera in a cubicle. You're very existence at work becoming a potential spectacle for people who are JUST LIKE YOU with access to your every moment while at work. How about this..I get to see my supervisor in a camera any time I feel like
