DUH what do you think the ballon at the end of the lease is? its what you paid and what you owe after the lease is up or you turn it in and pay over milage of about 10cents a mile for driving over 10 to 12 thousand miles per year for how ever long the lease is for plus wear and tear. leases on a car are for low payments period .who wants to lease a car for three years and turn around and make higher payments for three or four more years to own it

It is not a Balloon, a balloon payment is when you have to pay it all up front.. I don't call paying the book value minus what you already paid a balloon payment. I agree making payments after the lease is up is stupid your better off financing it until you own it better. But for some like the in laws they preferred the lease instead... -
Below are some of the terms you may come across in a car leasing contract.
3 + 23
The number of initial payments payable as a deposit (3) followed by the number of regular payments to be made (23).
Balloon Payment
The final payment of a car leasing agreement that reflects the expected value of the vehicle. A balloon payment should result in lower monthly repayments but in some instances the balloon payment may be greater than the car's value. not try to be a smart ##### its just what its called -

I like that, companies don't lie because they have never lied to you. haha. Thats a good one. Most companies start off lying from day one. For instance, hubby was told .38 cpm with Schneider, hubby is getting .34 cpm with Schneider. Hubby was told he'd have most nights home, and weekends, and be a regional driver.
Hubby is currently in VA hasn't been home in over a week. He hasn't even been in the state for over a week.
But no, they don't lie of course. Pssst. -
You're going to do what you're going to do, but take some of the advice given here, get a truck from a dealer. When you do the lease purchase thing, the company holds too many of the cards. This is going to be your lifestyle, get as much control of it as you can.
If you're credit is bad, maybe this ain't the time to take the plunge.
I also know there are local companies that pull rail trailers, for example, that don't require a newer truck. That's what I did, when I was an O/O. Made a decent living, home regularly, ran a limited area. Maybe something else to think about.davan2004 Thanks this.
