What is the dress policy at Werner?
Obviously,I would not expect them to allow things such as driving bare foot, or while wearing flip-flops,tank top T-Shirts, shirts/hats with foul/racist/vulgar language or pictures on them.
But there are some items I am not sure about.
Can I wear shorts while on the road,or do I have to always wear long pants?
Are steel-toed boots required, or can I drive in a pair of soft tennis shoes, or even slipper type shoes?

My hubby drove for Werner until the end of Feb 2008, and they didn't have any dress code. No footwear requirements or anything like that.

GREAT!!!
So I can wear my Budweiser hat, flip-flops, and bikini inspector
T-Shirt...This will turn out OK afterall...
Lilbit Thanks this. -
I heard that they do actually require you to wear a dress now...
NukedNative and Lilbit Thank this. -
I'm all for being comfortable. But weather it's Werner, CFI, Conway, Crete, Millis or any other company, you represent that company to the general public, to shippers and receivers, etc. When they see you they see the company you represent.
You're a professional, why not dress that way.
You get one shot at a first impression. Make it count.
So go ahead and wear that tank top, cut off sweat pants and flip-flops, but when you get out of that truck, look like the professional that you are. -
You cant wear flip flops when you are driving for any company. If you get caught by DOT you will be given a ticket. Technically you are required to wear steel toe boots but they wont bother you for sneakers or better.

Uhm, why don't you ask Werner? That way you are guaranteed to get the correct information

Please produce the FMCSA regulation regarding footwear .

Many drivers out there are far from being professionals .

there is no dress code at werner (nothing that i have ever heard of being enforced anyway)... although, they may frown upon cross dressing...
