Not anymore. I think Barb said 134 in the meeting last week. And a solid dozen of them are out on disability.

 

I am surprised that many senior drivers would give up their trucks to get weekends off. In the southeast and some western, senior hands pretty much stayed in their trucks and gave up the weekends. Those who took prog/extra positions are close to retiring or looking else ware. If you have a family though, one weekend day is better than nothing.

 

I like having a weekend and a weekday and about every 3rd week I take Saturday as PTO and have a weekend and Monday for any business like Doctor, errands etc.

 

If you could leave your stuff in the truck ir might be different, but i don't see the adv if having your own truck andbe stuck on Thursday out

 

I watched a senior driver load all his stuff into his truck that i just got out of today, no kidding about 8-10 trips from his car and at least 40 min. For what? To just turn around and take it all out in 5 days, no thanks. Good to have choices i guess.
