When I started otr I was 325 pounds. When I left I was 280. Now, a few years later, as a yard dog, I am 240s. Im 6'0.
Anyone ever lose weight while being OTR?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say get a genetic test done, it'll tell you a little about which diets are terrible for you and a bit about which might work.
That said, consider eating fish at least once a week, fried isnt great for you, but its lighter than chicken at least.
Outside of that, it's not magic, eat less than you need, you lose weight, eat more, you gain
Other factors include quality of sleep you get, excercise (more excercise=more needed food), stress levels (high stress can trigger both over and underweight responses, depending on how you react)
Above all, ignore diet sellers and people that are going to sell you their experience (anecdote) as gospel truthSlim51 and driverdriver Thank this. -
Cut out sugar, bread, processed foods ( like hot dogs, burritos, Spam, pizza rolls), drink water ONLY.
The first week or so will be rough as your body CRAVES the sugar you're not giving it. It's a drug, and you're addicted.
As soon as you pass that wall, you won't be nearly as hungry, and you won't crave the garbage any longer.
Weight falls off.
You'll feel much better.Camelclutch and Paddlewagon Thank this. -
Everybody has the same genes sugar and processed foods, all the heart healthy grains is all Bs. propagated by food companies subsidized to grow corn and wheat. Do you remember all the years they kept saying stay away from red meat and eat like 6 servings of pasta a day and everybody's been ballooning up for the last 20 years drinking Monsters and when you find out that apple juice has more sugar in it than a Coke you're like Jesus what have I been giving my kids we're over here drinking orange juice and apple juice turns out your liver doesn't know the difference between that and a bowl of sugar same as potatoes rice noodles bread crackers chips tortillas cereal oh yeah and by the way just about every sauce has sugar and or corn syrup and or wheat try finding a salad dressing that doesn't have canola oil that's why our buddy is dumping olive oil on his salad and getting healthy.....drop the mic

Oh yeah and lack of sleep has been linked to heart attack Alzheimer and dementia so get 7 hours of sleep every night you will find out it's a lot easier to eat healthy when you're not all cranky and hangry. Your hormones make a huge difference. Ghrelin and Leptin ..google it

Our bodies are not designed to process sugar.
It's toxic.Camelclutch Thanks this. -
I thought I loved bread and beer, but I found out I'd rather have steak and a vodka martini with extra olives and I've also lost weight and I enjoy cooking using real food , no Jenny Craig or diet food ,bring on some eggs fried in olive oil.Keto diet is the easiest ive found. Google search Vinnie Torterich and Dr Eric Berg. These guys info changed my life

Sugar is sugar no matter where its found. However some sources are still better for you(fruits etc)since they contain other things the body needsdriverdriver Thanks this.
