Ok then, you have nothing to worry about, cuz nobody has ever been sent home from orientation, or lying on their application . :biggrin_2552:

Does anyone buy anything first and then search reviews on the product after they have already purchased it?

    Travelworld2067 and DSK333 Thank this.

With that piece of paper you got the next employer by the balls. They can’t fire you!

Orientation is NEVER a SURE THING.

ALL ORIENTATIONS... Ive been to... *Slams table to get your attention.... have been a dice roll. A gamble. Ive been sent home a few times. It happens.

Ive seen people sent home. I remember one was doing so well with his flatbed orientation until food poisoning put him into the hosptial at the Rockport Diner across the street. If he got food poisoning from there while I ate the same exact food without problems then I don't know. Perhaps he had a undetected food allergy or something. He did not make it through that week. He was simply gone.

I remember another JBH in North Little Rock crying in the van taking him to our Local Hotel saying he aint got no money, no job and a GF with a kid at home in Jackson Miss. What is he ever going to do? He was just a kid to me then maybe 25 or so. I hate to see grown people cry like that. I gave him a 20. And told him to shut up. Never mind the thank you. Go home and find something else. At the time Jackson was beginning to be hopping economically in a couple areas. So maybe he did well.

So many others simply vanished from each orientation class I ever been in. Say 50 on Monday. By Wed there is maybe 24 left. Roughly give or take.

There are ten thousand reasons why a orientation does not work out. NOTHING is a sure thing until you are assigned your first load. And then even in this entire industry you have to be away from accidents, incidents, tickets etc. Or find yourself sitting on the porch wondering what happened. Employment is literally at will from you the employee or the employer. If there are too many problems you wont have a job in this industry for a while.

Remember that. No matter how much you seem to write about how it seems to be hard to see if you have something better or not next week, month or year or whatever it is in your life and real world... remember that all of problems are temporary. They can and will be overcome. To live is to scratch and fight. No one is going to hand you a #### thing.

Maybe being a driver isnt a good fit.

You might want to be the one who IS the recruiter going over applications and making decisions on what money to spend bringing people to your company's Orientation each week. Hmm? Would you like that?

Two backgrounds basically. The first one is the easy stuff like MVR, PSP, DAC etc. If you pass those areas they'll dig deeper. Expect to have every one of your driving job references checked. The FMCSA requires this as part of the hiring process. Just because they call you for orientation that does not mean they won't send you right back home later. One thing you must learn now is that they don't care about you nor your family. You are a battery to them. Use them accordingly because they will certainly be using you, driver.

Thats what im thinking why would employer spend 400 bucks for a ticket do all the dac mvr etc stuff and then when i get to orientation. And only then call my company? Even though shr said she did this already?.
