I have never grasped the logic that thought we had some kind of constitutional obligation to international communications. The whole FISA issue is kind of a bad joke on our security. Some people think the constitution should be applicable to all citizens of earth....
-
What worries me is they are able to run ammuck of my rights while doing their investigations of these so called foreign interest's
-
answer probably none.... -
As per the patriots act, they promise not to use any incriminating info if found that does not apply to their direct interest
I watch Law and Order like I believe any of them LOL
They will lie and sneak to make a case -
well in general since the law was enacted ONLY one case has this happend and the defendant won the case IE he was email communication OUT OF COUNTRY to Iraq to his familiy. Unless you are making communications by email or phone OUT OF COUNTRY to the trouble middle East areas YOU HAVE NO WORRIES... so dont stress it.....

BTW i watch O'Reily, Hannity and listen to Beck so i get what is actually going on in this country
Baack Thanks this. -
If it makes you feel any better Baack, the feds don't have anywhere near enough people to monitor all of this communication. They barely have enough people to monitor the stuff that gets flagged for keyword violations. I understand the slippery slope argument though, seatbelt laws are a perfect example. When those laws were passed in IL they were passed with the express understanding that they would NEVER be used to pull someone over (primary offense) but only a ticket when someone was pulled over for another offense. They have of course changed that now and there are seatbelt checkpoints at random intersections throughout Chicago's suburbs with cops walking between cars at stoplights looking in peoples windows to make sure they are wearing their seatbelts. If they aren't they are issued citations. So yeah, the slippery slope argument does carry water sometimes, I just don't think it does on this level because of the resource requirements that aren't there.
