x1 is writing a "distributed novel" on TTR. Saves on publishing costs. Seriously x1, collate a lot of it on a word processor and put it up on Amazon KDF for sale. It's free to publish, just upload a pdf and a cover graphic and they do the rest.

What are people's experience with intelliapp? I have so far avoided applying through it, seems like so many companies use it that it's a matter of time until they get compromised and the data gets sold.

Never seen the app but would be not want my email address passed on to any trucking company.
I was getting phone calls decades ago from companies wanting to hire me that I had not applied. Seems someone "dropped my name" as not currently working to these out fits.
I still have a resume' on a scroll in the cave.

Yea I understand. I also know NSA collects everything. (That's fine) if they are so bored as to looking into my tiny little world with nothing other than medicines, bills and doctors they would be taking away resources needed else where for the good of America.

Yes I like to write at times, tell stores at others. Maybe a occasional lunch counter one now and then who knows. The reason I do this is literally time grows short with me. Im trying to pass on a few diamonds in the rough before I pass on.

Keep in mind for every post I might write, there are 10 to 20 I dont. I have been educated proper let's say by a few well applied bites here and there where needed at the fence, or before I got to it. (You can go junkyard visiting, but can you make the fence with that engine block before big dog gets to YOU? =)

Nothing online is truly anonymous. All have a address attached to it. Heck there is a app called Telegraph that supposedly self destructs messages after time limit. Well they managed to use THAT app to lure terrorist leaders to the Iraq Syria border before killing all of them. Wanna bet on who put in a little treat inside those apps? Poor things.

All of us have a story in trucking. Short long whatever. There is probably enough in there to bury me under prison somewhere a long time or perhaps save 1000 people from making the mistake I made. If I helped even one, then redemption at last I would say. Im harmless. No worries.

The biggest problem with writing in english is that it's not my first language. I did not have any language until I was sent to deaf school newly built in the early 70's taught ABC etc and a set of numbers 1 through 10. Then told go play. 64 other deaf kids were on my side of the campus excluding the trainables and those who require 24/7 caregiving in those days. A week later I had language. And 4 years later I had english spoken somewhat. They sent me into public school to improve on that among other things. Ugh.

Converting a living dynamic language to express a situation to English requires many words. Some of which don't work well. in short I don't do well in this modern age of twitter with just a sentance or two.

Even if I did do short posts, people think Im really sick lolz. You just cannot win. HA.

So I decided to try to answer my own question since I know how to dig around. I also submitted a request to know how they store all the information they receive, how they secure it, and how long they retain it, although it looks like the answer to the last one is "forever".

In case you think you have not encountered it, the app looks very simple at first, it's the one that has a list of things you'll need, like SS#, 10-year history etc, and looks like a 1990's website.

Here's a screenshot, each employer's landing page is customised a little, but they all look a lot like this...

    Screen shot 2018-06-13 at 2.30.09 PM.png
In the URL will be intelliapp, this is the URL for the page screenshotted above... https://intelliapp2.driverapponline.com/c/maalt?uri_b=ia_maalt_1659661352
Notice that Vista still have their account under their previous company name, so everyone who ever applied to and/or worked for Maalt is likely still on record with Intelliapp. If you tried to apply with revised information, this is why you didn't get a reply.

Here is a page that describes how intelliapp works for employers.

Here's a quote from that Ten Street sales page for intellliapp... my bold and italics

    Better Rehiring of Former Drivers:

As a Network Provider, you get access to a free Driver Monitor Report that alerts you when a current or previous driver is looking for a new job.
    • Salvage relationships and curb workforce attrition,
    • Save time and money spent on training and hiring,
    • Reinvest valuable resources by rehiring eligible drivers
    And another one...
    Easier DAC Termination Record Entry:

Simplify the process of submitting termination records to the DAC/Hireright Employment History file by using Xchange. You can maximize the amount of credits from DAC, while minimizing the headaches of submitting termination records by hand.

I'll leave it to you whether you trust this online application. I've decided not to apply to any company who uses it.

I used it. The only phone calls or emails I recieved were from the companies I applied to using the app.

I used it, and also only heard from companies I applied to. Some I had to call back, so they could shoot me down in flames over the phone.

It really helped speed up the job search, and put me in touch with companies I never heard of that were hiring near me.

Speedy makes some good points on the subject of info security. However, all my info is on databases that have already had a breach. I get "free monitoring", for what little good it might do.

The brave new world is here, ladies and gents. Embrace it or go jobless. Not even Kroger takes paper applications for baggers anymore.

I used it to land my current job, and would use it again if the need arose.
