The pet policy is under 80 pounds, 37.50 withdrawn from paycheck until $750 is met. Then when the truck is given up any pet damage is repaired and you get back whatever is left from the $750. As for the shippers, I would keep the dog in the truck when I’m at a shippers yard, would that be ok or they don’t want any animals at all even if they don’t leave the truck?
How close do you have to be to be “tailgating” I know it takes a lot longer to stop in a big truck but if someone cuts in front of you it’s not something you can control.

How old are you OP?
Pretty sure TMC has an age requirement of 23. -
I'm a flatbed driver for Swift and I have my dog with me. There are a few regular customers have "no pet" policies, but as long as my dog stays in the truck I never get questioned about him. He even sits in the seat looking out the window while I'm getting loaded or unloaded lol. Alot of them just don't want your dog getting out and pooping on their property.
From my understanding, the places that are the most strict on not allowing pets, are places that deal in chemicals. Oil refineries are pretty notorious for that.
There actually are quite a few places that I've been to that are actually pet friendly. North American Stainless in Ghent Kentucky is one. The guard shack keeps buckets of dog treats and gives my dog some on the way in and on the way out. Other smaller places have given him treats before but I never expected that from a huge steel mill lol.stwik and Truckermania Thank this. -

Well... then company I work for doesn’t allow pets but they offer company paid medical, dental and vision. 401k with full vesting from day 1 and a 4% company match. And they just unleashed the hammer with a new pay package. Minimum pay is 65k. Top pay is 104k yearly. It’s mileage based but not a cents per mile concept. A fixed number of miles between x and y will pay z for that week. They also give a 340 per week per diem deduction. As in 340 per week of your gross is given to you tax free.
They require one year of driving experience, but it doesn’t have to be flatbed experience. They train for flatbed.
5 consecutive years as 20 best fleets to drive for and 2018 best workplace experience in the small fleet category.
By far and away the best company driving position I have ever found. Period. Could have one year experience, get hired on here and in your first week make more than 40 year Walmart drivers with 5 million safe miles. It’s ludicrous.
Holler at me.stwik and Truckermania Thank this. -
Blackhawk allows pets. They are flatbed and haul pods. Talked to one of their drivers she was happy there. Throw the straps over the pods and go..lots of drop and hook.
