38 CPM is where I am, which is for 1 year experience. Training pay is less, but I am not sure how much less.

I just found out the amount of my first paycheck today, and the net pay is more than the largest gross paycheck that I ever got with Swift.
I have had 4 loads in 13 days with Danny Herman for 6,600 miles total.

 

Yes to both. One of our biggest customers is in Chillicothe, OH and when you load out of there you're usually goingg to Calexico, so you'd probably get some of those beefy runs when you come out of the house. I'm based out of MI and they hired me.

There is also a training program available for fresh CDL holders. I used to work in the training department at a mega, and DHT's training program seems more like a finishing program to me in the sense that it's more geared to teaching you how to do the job as a whole rather than just how to drive the truck.

DHT Average Length of Haul is 1450 Miles. There are No Refers & No Snow Chains. DHT has No NorthWest, No NorthEast & No Florida customers. DHT has Multiple Company Owned Yards & Shops. DHT is 60% Drop & Hook. The DHT Live Loads are a blessing compared to the rude/stressed people at many grocery warehouses. The DHT Qualcomm is Quiet, and the dispatchers don’t nag you. Light Loads are very common...DHT has Nice People, and a Relaxed Environment. OTR doesn’t get easier than DHT, and the pay is still better than most Mega Refers so if you actually like OTR than you’ll like DHT. If you have family stay local. If you’re chasing money go to Odessa/Midland Texas, but if you actually like OTR than DHT is as easy as it gets.

 

I started with them in May out of school, no experience. The training is 300 hours of drive time. The first 100 hours are you driving with the trainer in the front seat the whole time. If he’s comfortable with your driving at that point you go to a super solo. You drive your full shift then he will drive for 3-4 hours. At the 200 hour mark you go full team for the last 100 hours if you’re both comfortable with that. After your 300 hours you get routed back to a terminal for a drive test (drive around the block and back in).

Starting pay is .36 per mile with no experience. Hazmat endorsement pays an extra .01 per mile for all miles. From what I’ve been told hazmat loads are rare. .03 per mile bonus for all miles if you run 11,000 miles in the month and an additional .03 for all miles if you hit 12,000. There is a quarterly .01 safety bonus for all miles and a yearly safety bonus if you obtain all four quarterly safety bonuses. As a newbie I can hit .45 per mile with all bonuses. I drove 3200+ miles the first week driving with two delays for tires and delivered another 775 mile run the day after pay period ended. Most trailers are in good shape, most with air ride and air slide. There are some old POS trailer’s that need to be retired, but overall good so far.

I’ve had a pre plan the afternoon before our next delivery each time, otherwise you hear nothing on the Qualcomm. No driver cameras, no collision mitigation and all trucks have APU’s and inverters. Everyone I’ve encountered so far has been very friendly and helpful, they care about their drivers from what I see. Mileage bonuses are easy to hit if you like to run. Trucks are governed at 67 cruise, 65 on the pedal. If you have a break down of 24 hours, you get 500 miles of pay for the day.

How often do you get a multi-stop load? How many stops on the typical multi-stop load?

How about the Fontana/ Los Angeles area? Is it mostly multi-stops in this area?

 

How often do you go to Wisconsin?
