Next week is going to be fn stupid. Anything less than 10k after the carriers cut will be an abysmal failure.

The last few months I've been getting a few agents rather pissed at me. They call offering a rate that was decent last year and i scoff, why would i do this load when two days ago i got double or even triple that on a similar load. "But its contract freight we have to get it moved". Its YOUR contract freight, not mine. I'll go pull for the next agent and make twice as much on the same miles.

That's the problem with being leased. Everybody gets comfortable and things start to get taken for granted. Nice to hear you woke them up.

    I'm not gonna say anything.

But, I will say this, there was a load this morning that was already at the WTF stoopid rate right in my back yard, I was showing it to wrench. He's going " C'mon. Is that real?" lmfao.

Gotta truck already. No point in doing anything if truck isn't tip top. It's at the second stop now. Probably drop $3K by the time it's all said and done. Which might be $9K out on the road at someone's mercy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- I'm glad rates are up. It's good for both ends of our business. Sure, I gotta work a little harder now, but the payoff is better.

If you're seeing $6 freight that you haul, why are you even thinking of buying anything but a hood you should rolling in the money. If you can get freight paying that haul the #### out of that while it's there.

Sure. And next year or the year after, when the rates level out, you'll still have a swell hood that you're paying for.
A truck is something to make money with; not to express your rakish indviduasm with.....that costs money.
I won't lie, some of those hoods look pretty sweet. But am I willing to pay $1000 a month more or pay another year? Nope . I'll run my white bread Cascadia and go to the house.

And, honestly, that's what I saved going from an '09 to a '14. Seriously, what I save in fuel almost makes my truck payment.
Drive what you want. But, personally, I don't need the adoration of a parking lot full of truck drivers. I get enough of that at home.

I don't wanna burst your bubble, but I don't adore the hoods or 'old iron'. To me, they look just that, old. It's the same with old cars. They're neat when at a show, but the 50 year old technology just doesn't compete.
