I think Id talk it over with an attorney? It probably wont help you get a job in trucking until your case is resolved but an attorney may be able to do something, especially if he can prove you wasnt eligible for a cdl at the time the school accepted you?

Im sure he will advise you to take care of the legal matter but he might can get you out of debt with the school? Never know, depends on what is written?

That's right; you are eligible to have a cdl, but the problem now is the warrant. Get that resolved then you can hit the road with a trucking company.
Don't worry about the cdl school bill right now, because you can't pay that until you have a trucking job.
    Do this:
    1. Get the warrant issue resolved.
    2. Put the school debt on the back burner for now, to pay later after getting a job.

    Jaybless Thanks this.

About the only thing to keep you from getting a cdl is recent multiple DUI's.
Even can legally get a cdl for bank robbers, murderers, kidnapping, drug trafficking, etc. and it's perfectly legal.
You won't be allowed to haul loads into Canada, but companies that hire felons understand that and simply don't dispatch their drivers that are felons, to Canada.

This whole situation just really sucks right now. In January I tried to set things up so I can handle it with my tax return. I made legit attempts to take care of it and noone could find it. Now that Im completely broke, it decides to suddenly pop up. Now I'm stuck in a place where if I turn myself in now, I have to deal with a public dedender who isnt going to do much for me. When I had the money to afford a private attorney who wouldve gave me the best chances of getting the charges completely dropped, they were nowhere to be found. I understand your point in handling it now trust me. But I really dont want this being a part of my history that lingers another 5yrs. Ive changed my lifestyle so much over the past 2 years. I'm just tired of constantly being bitten in the rear end over my past mistakes. I don't want my trucking career to be limited to just these second chance companies. Getting sent home from TMC was literally like getting stabbed in the heart. I want this cleared completely off my record.

Look, either you did not appear or the courts made a mistake! Which is it? A dope charge from 2015 and an active warrant is going to be a show stopper with most any company. Why did you not take care of this? If this is the reckless dang aw shucks attitude you have I for one do not want you driving a dang lawnmower on a highway. Look I am not trying to bust your chops here. trucking is a highly regulated industry. The crap that can come down on a driver and a carrier is a load. Yes you are going to need an attorney. You should still have your CDL. Get a hearing and get this charge dealt with. You might have to go to work for outlaw express for a year or two but you will come out of it better. Oh and next time try to make sure there is no next time!
