So, yesterday was a first for me. So far, I've never been to a place running for this company that I'd previously visited in my Millis truck. Yesterday I went to the Cascade place in Dunmore. The company name I had on my load sheet was different. My heart sank as soon as I pulled into the lot, I recognized it immediately. Jesus that place sucks. 10am appointment, wasn't unloaded until 3:30pm. They're gonna hate my detention bill, because it ain't no $20/hour. Have fun with that, Cascade. Spent some time talking to a Millis driver while I was waiting. Real nice guy. I've met him before, never got his name though. Same boat as me, he got hosed on his appointment time. Gotta love it. You'd think at some point they'd get it together if for no other reason than saving money. No skin off my nose because of how I schedule my runs. But I felt bad for the Millis guy. And the other drivers also sitting, for that matter. What a joke.

Wassup Millis gang. Just in case anyone here is interested, I have an updated Wisconsin schedule, if it happens to sync up with anyone's run time. Since I'll be deep in the heart of Millis territory I'd be happy to meet up with any of you. Delivering in Oak Creek on Monday, then picking up in West Allis Tuesday and delivering to Eau Claire on the 4th. I'll then be doing a 34 in Osseo, which is 20 miles away. Decent bar across the street, with decent food. If you're gonna be in the area, hit me up. And again, I'll be really close to Richfield Monday night. I can easily get to the truck stop across from the terminal. Hope I can hook up with some of you fine folks.

Are you pulling a trailer out of the drop lot in West Allis??? :D

You put the hex on us ex Millis drivers man, I am in Oak Creek right now. My 2nd load for today got pulled from me and replaced with this one.

Load info came thru, read the address and thought #### that sounds familiar. Looked it up on Google maps and sure as hell I have been here a few times in the past with giant paper rolls.

I'll be in Richfield tomorrow, although probably just briefly.

Speaking of Eau Claire, what is the best way to get from there out to I35 for points south?

I can't remember the exact route the GPS took me, but I remember crossing the big river at Wabasha and going down some little MN state route through the woods to I90.

Take 94 West to whatever the hell it is that skirts Minneapolis/St. Paul... 494? 394? One of those 2. That will dump you onto 35E, or you could take it to 35W also if I remember correctly, head South on either and you they turn into I-35.

Plus if you're leaving Eau Claire without much time the MN welcome center is decent to kill a 10 at and my experience was that it didn't fill up until later.

Just make sure you're looking at Google Maps for closures. I just delivered to Minneapolis a few weeks back and a LOT of ramps were closed.
