The questions you're asking have already been answered --- and THEN some, many times.
It's up to YOU to do some research and you're already late in doing that.
My advice is to avoid C.R. England. But, ultimately that's your decision to make.
Good luck.

England, this confirms everything that I was told by the lease operators
that I spoke with, during my, thank God, short tenure with them!
Thanks, Springloaded -
awesome shpill about owning your own truck; &, eventually, having your
own mini-fleet; &, all that hooha. I am saddened to learn that you are
(already) scheduled to hook up with them on Feb 2nd. I promise you:
You would do ohhh sooo well to steer clear of them!!! Read some of these posts! Read the one that talks about a driver's friend that drove
for C.R.E. under their lease program, grossing $500 (for the freakin truck);
&, (chump change) for the driver! I wish I could steer you toward a
decent company; but, now being out of the business, I'm somewhat
out of touch. What I do know though, is C.R.E. is among; &, may in
fact, be the very worst of trucking companies!!!
Take it from me, SpringloadedAfterShock Thanks this. -
This thread is about people reporting thier negative experiences at CR ENGLAND and somehow midway through was hijacked by someone ranting about truck drivers. We don't need someone with less than a years driving experience ranting about the good old days or telling us how trucking is today compared to yesterday. Everytime someone starts a post about how truckers are treated by the industry someone goes on a rant about his or her fellow drivers as if we are to blame for everything bad about trucking. As If we would just love one another everything would be fine.

With CRE it's "live or die by the Fleace"
If you want a new truck get a used, non-ulsd, non-dpf truck.
If CRE actually sold trucks instead of fleasing them you could argue their intent. Prime is probably much better than CRE.
Many good deals on trucks right now since many companies have gone under. What about hotshots.
Schneider and many others sell and finance trucks. I think the Schneider choice program is fair.
Smarter to company drive for a few before buying. -
CRE is no different than any other Reefer company. You can make $$$ with CRE if YOU RUN, not play super trucker in every truckstop you find.Avoid the lease program with CRE, GO COMPANY DRIVER.In my opinion, Prime Inc has the best lease program,BUT not all drivers can run a business!I say go company driver, atleast you get some benifits.
DirtySideDown Thanks this.
