But you have to consider the cost of living in that area too. NYC, NJ, NEPA...not cheap.

NEPA is cheap. I bought a 2600 square foot double block for $95K. I rent out half of it, and the rent pays the mortgage and taxes.

La and NYC are about equal I'd say. Close to it anyways. Here in NEPA the cost of living isn't all that bad. I hate NYC NJ but ill run the city all week since the rates are there. Out west we'd have to be loaded both ways.

Just to get back on topic, I'm booked on a 109 loaded mile trip, dry van, $1000 all in. Picks and drops tomorrow.

Picks in Hartford CT, no less. Used to be that trip would be lucky to pay $2/mile.

No, it was a first generation DPF engine, so that part was kinda sucky.......EVEY year it was replace doser valve and or DPF filter....$2,000 - $3,000 a pop. But the engine itself ran at 95% on a dyno at around 900k miles. All I did was changed the oil at 25k and anything that farted or grumbled got replaced

Ok. That is more in line with what I've heard of emissions engines. While 2 or 3 thousand dollars isn't gonna kill ya, doing it every year flat out sucks. Especially when you consider that buys a new 6 park of injectors or an inframe out for the older engines.

I was referring more to Philly and the surrounding areas like Bucks County etc.

well, honestly, if $2000-$3000 is all you do over and above servicing every year, it's a real good year. DD15 is a good engine
