I am nearing the date that I will start my orientation and up to 6 straight weeks of on the road training.
I definately do not want to carry to many peices of luggage with me that I tick off my trainer.

I have everything packed, and this is what I have. Please tell me if I am bring to much..

I have a full Army duffle bag.
I also have a normal sized briefcase.
And I have a hygeine bag about the size of a large shoe box that will not fit into the duffle bag.

    Thanks for the advice...

Your trainer is going to love you. You're travelling lighter than most.

    Sounds great.
I was worried that I was trying to carry to much.
Being retired Army Infantry,I am used to living for several days-weeks at a time with what I can carry on my back.
What I am carrying to my orientation is about as much as I would carry to a 12 month deployment..

Keep your briefcase, hygiene bag and get a gym bag instead of the duffle bag.
If I remember right, (it has been awhile) a full size duffle bag is 4ft long and 12-14inches wide. Unless you sleep with it, I don't know where you will put it.
    Just my opinion!

Yup, you will be in good shape. I do recommend that you sleep with your duffel bag. I slept with my carry-on size suitcase during my training and had plenty of room. I fact, I still do it on my own truck! Good luck, I think you will do fine.

If I get a gym bag,it would have to be just as big as the duffle bag,as I have it packed pretty full.
If I have to keep it on my bunk and sleep next to it, I can easily manage that.

Keep the duffle bag, my friend. If it is too much, your trainer will have some suggestions on where you can put it!
I do agree, though, you are traveling a lot lighter than most. No laptop? No DVD player/TV? Or are they in the duffle bag? :biggrin_25525:
