Many business operations receive parking tickets with fines on them. These are considered a cost of doing business and they are expensed.

I am sure that many companies expense the overweight tickets as well.

I have sat on many audits, usually on the opposite side of the IRS.

They have no interest in the expense of 100.00 or so. They are looking for larger amounts that trigger interest.

I could tell you stories of the many things I have seen get pass the agents. I am referring to items larger than 5,000.

Most agents don't quibble the small stuff. Especially if not identified specific.
