I don’t know if the driver shortage is real, but there is a shortage of real truck drivers.

I think the definition has changed. Like so many other aspects of society today, we just change the standards and lower the bar. And a generation or two later, lo and behold, nobody is the wiser and we just accept the current as the new reality.

Trucking is drawing from a totally different worker pool than it was 30+ years ago.

Not a shortage,it is retention issue. Due to Low Pay, Poor Treatment of drivers by employers, shippers & receivers, Gov. and general public. Among other issues .

Some places have orientation every week. They know how many will leave. They get a month or two before benefits kick in. It's a science.

Well that's just the propoganda people spew out for college. When I first started in college, this professor said, " If you came to college to get a job, make more money, things of that nature, you're not in college for the right reasons." A job is just a means to make money, nothing else. Some majors in college, can lead to a good living, majority do not. The reality is that people need some type of training and or education to get into a field where there's a steady living.

Another conclusion jumper. There should be an olympic sport called the conclusion jump. I know some who'd win gold in that event. You guys don't know #### about each other. Stop guessing. You're embarrassing yourselves.

But how is it that that supply is both never ending and also not supplying enough?
