    Just wondering if you all usually use your name, initials, or try to go with something snappy or memorable? Do you usually like to use "trucking co" or "Transportation" or what?

    Depending on the local rules, you may have to file operating under assumed name papers.

    My company was not in my name, but it did have some initials. I was advised by the state that before I could receive the ICC, I had to satisfy the assumed name act.

    Thanks, yeah i know that's especially true for fictitious name registries. The LLC service I used stated some states require it for LLC, but I don't think NC is one of them.

    I was just curious if people tended to just use their names or invent something.
