Saw his posts as well, hoping he comes in and sees this thread in the next week or so.

Good luck on your school, which company will you be going with FFE as well?

I wonder why you think it necessary to start duplicate threads in different forums?
(http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...ffe-drivers-current-or-recent.html#post728234) I hope that you don't carry this impatience onto the road with you, it could get someone (else) hurt or killed.

Well, I'm hoping for one that will allow the dog once I get through training/probation. Right now I think Watkins Shepard, Werner and FFE (and American Eagle and Lisa) are still dog friendly, and FFE is 'supposedly' hiring.

I could go anywhere and just plan on jumping ship at 3 months to one of the dog friendly carriers .. but that's also risky. I'd like to get a year somewhere before I move around if possible. I have a sister that can take the dog for a few months but that's pushing it.

I'll update you if I hear anything.

As I said in the other thread I was not sure where it would get read more. I posted one here then thought to myself when I came into this forum it was usually to read the company DAC listed above I rarely looked at this part.

So I decided to post it in the other forum which seems to be more active.

Its called a person new to the forum being unaware of where most posters post.

Thank you for your concern. I hope my duplicate threads did not offend you to much.

FFE has sounded pretty good, haven't found much negative about them so I am hopeful. I found out Central has called my last employers and references, so things are moving there as well. I do believe I would rather go with FFE though as they are so close to my home

I would be more interested in knowing how many payments you've made on that truck.

Did you go to the school in Arkansas? I looked into that as well as several others. It's looking like Watkins Shepard is gonna be to expensive( A lot of out of pocket expenses) and things are too unstable with PAM and USA so i'm looking into the FFE group. Heard some good things about LISA. Being a single woman on the road it would be nice to have a pet on board. How are LISA's trainers? I don't mind a male trainer as long as he has a professional attitude but it seems like a lot of companies are reluctant to put males and females together to train. Do they have good benefits? Any info would be appreciated. I'm planning on starting school the second week in March. If you went to the Ark school i'd like to hear about your experience. Thanks:biggrin_25526:

:biggrin_25520: well i have made weekly payments on my truck since april 28th of last year... i am making good money averaging about 2800-3500 miles a week. i am a firm believer in the age old saying of.... If the wheels aint turning, i'm not making any money. as far as what school i attended... i did go to pine bluff truck driving school in pine bluff arkansas. its a good school and all the trainers have great experience. they teach you how to budget your money as well as you pull loads while training to get your cdl.... just remember you do have to start your day at 5 am and end at 4pm.... i was there for just under three weeks and i would recommend that school to anyone....

I worked at FFE/Am Eagle for 17 months in the late '90,s. It's still owned by the Stubbs family. Was an OK company, your paycheck will be good. They been around since '46. Have about 14-1600 trucks. Also own Lisa out of Ft Worth. Got about 8 terminals spread around, some are drop lots. Terminals in Jersey, Lancaster, Tx, Chicago area, etc. Home time was not so good.......FYI:biggrin_25525:
