i reread your post. no one has to use a broker if they dont want to. any customer can call any carrier and offer them freight or ask about service and rates.
some customers use the brokers and then go around the broker and go to the carrier, after the broker has done the homework. cuts out the broker and maybe gets the loads run even cheaper. no middle man. not nice, mr. customer...
What am I missing?

The bottom line is, CAN WE TRUST THE BROKERS??
I don't think anyone has a problem with a broker making a hundred or two on constant repeat shipments since they found the deal. But, are they jacking their percentages as gravy? 25% with no cash outlay? 35%? How far are they pushing it? Do they need to make $500 per load? Without the overhead, even at 10% they're practically equal partners in every load when it comes to who cleared what.
Now GETTING a new account, hands down I know that's a pain in the arse! -
sure they will..i lost thousands over the years from ''crooked'' brokers.its common placeluvtheroad Thanks this. -
EXACTLY! So what I'm saying is, you need to be certain if the broker is a good thing or a bad thing. If they are a bad thing, then you can't be considered a liar or thief if you end up getting that shipment booked direct to you the next time. -
