Comcar does ZERO recruiting for MCT. Since MCT is a 100% owner operator company, comcar has less at stake financially in the driver recruiting/retention process. We are the "redheaded stepchildren" of Comcar so to speak(and most wouldn't want it any other way), and pretty much just do our own thing. Like I said, we are 100% o/o but about 80% of the trucks are owned by fleet owners that hire drivers. The recruiting department at MCT recruits o/o's and as a benefit to their fleet owners, also recruit drivers for said fleet owners.

Sounds good to me! I just wanna drive, I dont care about hometime, I wont complain if I dont get alot of miles, I know its slow right now, I dont expect to get rich I am just looking for somebody to give me a fair chance.

Are you looking at OTR jobs...If so stop calling..ask a friend of yours that everyone seems to like to call the OTR companie and ask for an Application...Then if you have decent writing fill out and mail..if your writing lacks again faimily and freinds...What's your work history if it's lacking it's amazing what 50 bucks can do..go talk to your former employers..No history well there is fiction writing and 150 bucks... Make sure too give them a copy of the story...Alot of companies dont's run a credit check "cost money"..If the real you is not getting results "ie..maybe you come off as an ###" then you got to start getting creative...I'm not saying you're an ###, just that people have all sorts of prejudiceses and you may be caught in a hole that fit's a pidgen perfectly. You have somthing that's repelling employers right off the bat..Luckily if it's not a criminal record than it's probably a superficial thing..If underneath what's turning people away is a good worker mindfull of what beniftes the company Being alittle deceptive could work..Let them discover that you are squared away even if that means fudging it alittle to get them to consider you..
Also it could be somthing weird..You could share a name with a rapist...again most companies just google your name and make a phone call..If google is comming back as horrible they will just skip on to the next app.

Just the rambiling of a complete stranger..I would run it past a real world person you trust before doing anything..

I was hired by Werner, my recruiter knew all about the child support arrest before she invited me to orientation, I was told numerous times it was only child support so it would be no problem. I worked for them for about 3 weeks before they decided to "suspend" me while they investigated my background further. So I was sent home on a bus from Denver to Jacksonville, while I had to wait 2 weeks for somebody to finally give me an answer. Now I am worried about what they put on my DAC!

 

Thanks for the advice although I dont think that is the problem, my work background is excellent, I sound very professional on the phone, heck I'm a good catch!...........lol
