I noticed that these are Florida loads. Which are always on the cheap side. I wonder if say an area like Charlotte NC or Raleigh would have better or around the same rates? Some of those dont look to shabby for florida in my opinion

That rate covered you for a full day, even without detention pay. No room to complain.

The complaint had nothing to do with the rate. I don’t haul anything that I wouldn’t be happy with eating up my entire day.

My opinion of that Amazon location was based on the amount of time that they held up my trailer as well as their “we will get to you when we feel like it attitude.”

Anything over 2-3 hours for a palletized dry van load or unload is unacceptable in my opinion. Maybe I’m just spoiled from working with respectful shippers and receivers.

Oh, I completely agree with you. My point was that the agreed upon rate assumed that you would get that sort of treatment. When the customer pays for my time, I don't consider it to be wasted. When they use more time than they paid for - well, that's when things get re negotiated.

My only experience with Amazon was a drop and hook using their trailer, 104 miles, $800, 30 minutes at the pick and drop respectively. I have zero complaints.
