Let me give you an example (as this goes BOTH ways!). I just hired a guy that had left a previous job under a cloud. He had been looking for a job for nearly a year, and had a hard time landing something because of it. I happened to know the outfit and the guy he worked for. Let me describe him charitably as a "cantankerous old fart". This guy has a reputation for running off employees on an annual basis. Because I'd worked with one of those previous guys, I knew the scoop, and was happy to hire the guy. Point is, a bad separation can definitely hold you back, but a good reason for a bad separation can overcome that, too.
Of course you are right, The larger the town and the bigger the industry the less it matters, and the easier it is to make a fresh start.TheyCallMeDave and buddyd157 Thank this. -
