I was arrested over 3 years ago on a FTA warrant for a CHILD SUPPORT hearing I didnt know about, thats it, thats the only blemish on my background, besides one speeding ticket in the past 12 years.

The CHILD SUPPORT WARRANT is a 3rd degree FELONY, my USIS criminal background report even shows NO CONVICTION and nobody will hire me! Werner fired me after 3 weeks because of it even though my recruiter knew all about it before I went to orientation and told me it would be ok

Me too! It's a good thing they probably don't look anymore. If they did the person reading them everyday would go into shock or relate to them. LOL Understand where you are coming from on paying on time. I had a small business. Along with working in the trucking business. You notice I said "had" And now I want to be a driver??? :biggrin_25525:

Good lord, chill out francis. After reading your post , and i know i am not alone in the thinking of this but the only one with enough gonads to say so, with all your medical conditions , i DO NOT want to share the road with you and really feel you should not be behind the wheel of a big rig. Those health issues make you a rolling accident waiting to happen. I have friends and family out on the roads and they have friends and family out on the road. It sure would be a shame for one of your medical conditions, like heart attack, happen while your driving and KILL everybody around you when that truck wrecks. Take this as you will but this has to be said. And the way you got so irratated so quick about some post on the internet that you had to type in all caps tells me you are not truck capable to staying calm in traffic or if something does not go your way at a shipper/reciever your gonna get all worked up and raise that blood pressure over nothing. Maybe you, NO DEFINITLY, you need to look into another less stressful line of work.

And i am not getting into talk about walking in anybodies shoes. I got my own shoes to fill and pots to pee in.

    harleymanjax and Eskimo6804 Thank this.

Ok now that helps. First thing you have to do is get that explunded off your record . You have to file a junction with the court system to get that done. Or at least get it sealed up where it will not show up, even with a search. Ask you this, Does it show up on a criminal background check?

OUCH, that seems to be the kicker in what is stopping him. He just might want to get on the job training in something else also til time has passed and freight is moving again. Since he's in jax, get your welder lic. and weld out on the port. Better money than trucking easily.

Good point, but a potential pitfall there could be that the carrier requires you to have a CDL in your home state..

Like he said,Florida has always been bad. There's just not much coming outta there.

Besides, most companies arent hiring right now anyways. They dont have freight for the drivers they have.

    I'd keep looking around locally..

    Good luck to you.

    Re: anything legal
Don't you think it would be wise to contact an attorney to really make sure that something can or can not be taken off a record?
Just a question, its been brought to my attention today that I am basicly the village idiot, so don't go on anything I might say or question. LOLOL

That is right. it is amazing what you can do and get done with the right lawyer. definitly worth a shot and worth the time and effort in pursuing this.
