I know I’m getting there but nobody makes it easy for a new company.

Thats because so many new companies fail. Lending money to a guy that just started a business is a very high risk venture.

I know and understand but some require the company to be opened minimum 2 years. What do you do in those 2 years? Lease on to a company that pays you bs rates? I’ve tried to companies already and you can’t survive.

There are plenty of good companies to lease to with good rates. I'm averaging well over 2 a mile (all miles) on the year leaded to my carrier. I know guys leased to landstar that make my numbers look pathetic. Landstar, mercer, bennett, daily, greentree, all companies with #### good rates. That's just a few off the top of my head, I'm sure there are many more.

More on topic, what you do is not start your business until you have sufficient cash flow, but it looks like that ship has sailed. So at this point you find an old trailer you can afford to pay cash for our you go through one of those 3rd rate finance companies that are basically a buy here pay here lot and accept the fact you are going to be over paying on a trailer plus carry extremely high interest rates.

Do you have your trailer? I have applied for mercer and was approved but as a power only carrier.
And yes you are right on the cash flow but i got an opportunity from an investor friend that paid the truck cash and i am paying him directly so I didn’t really think before making the decision. At this point i am looking for an older trailer to pay cash, either flatbed or dry van

Yes i have my own trailer. Have always had my own trailers. Started with an 800 dollar special, heavy as sin all steel 30 year old 45 foot flat. Wasnt pretty and spent more time under it than i care to remember but it got me started so i could bank money for a better trailer. Granted 800 bucks sure don't go as far as it did in 95, but the concept remains the same. Go buy a cheap trailer with cash that will can put to work for a few months to bask money. Rates are so good right now that you should be able to bank over 7500 a month right now if you work hard. Then in 6 months you can practically pay cash for a new trailer of your choice of you wanted.

Thats ridiculous. If anyone offered me a buck a mile it would be the very last time i accepted their call, that number would be immediately blocked so i would nevet heat from them again. Miami isn't a good place for freught but insulting lie numbers are just that, insulting. I turned down 2.23 a mile out of Miami yesterday cause i didn't want to go back to work just yet cause i just got home late Monday. And that's AFTER mercer takes 25%.
