Crete is charging drivers .01 CPM to do the per diem??? IF so, that’s the biggest scam out there. That’s just wrong!!
It’s a write off for them too!!!

They're not going to lose money to give the driver per diem. They can only write off 80% of the per diem, as opposed to the whole 100%if they just pay the wages. Not paying the taxes and FICA saves some, but not the entire 20%, thus the .01. Many companies have charged 2-3 cents, which is a ripoff

    Agree with you.
Did more research on them and I’m going to work for them. 10+ years experience but at the end of the day I can’t complain. Some reviews are bad but more good than bad. With a positive attitude I think I’ll do well there.
Solid company even for experienced guys/girls. Be safe out there!!

Thats in the fuel building in Lincoln. Also says on side driver was a 20 plus year and multi million mile driver. Been meaning to ask Ed the story behind it.

So what I understand is .02 raise as of Sept. 1st, detention goes to $15 per hour and a performance bonus of .02 if you do over 30k miles in a quarter.

    Astoh Thanks this.

Honestly not sure but I’m thinking it would be 57 cents. I don’t see myself hitting that 30k bonus much. After the last raise it seemed like the loads got to be shorter and more likely to suck but could be I’m just feeling burned out.

Good point. 30,000 miles a quarter sounds easy but 120,000 miles a year is tough as hell in a year at Crete.
    Plus.
Every owner op is on here bragging about getting 5 or 6 bucks a mile on a short Ioad and a buck fifty or so on a long load......
