yes we as a team we get our own room at crowder from what the recruiter said they do cover food for 3 meals daily at the college. They make sure u get all the training to pass the test then the real training starts in your trainers truck for 3 to 4 weeks to learn as much as u can 7500 miles to 10k miles. Each team member is split up for 30 days unless one has exp and other one doesn't then they work with u to train ur co driver . Me and wife are almost ready to get to Joplin she needs to finish her 2 more test till she passes then we call back CFI to schedule school
Drove for Conway TL before CFI took over, again.

Just make sure they send home to Crowder! If they try to send him to truck dynasty in Springfield, refuse and demand Crowder.

paul_4lp and hollywood76 Thank this.

Yeah truck dynasty has a pretty cruddy curriculum put together. And alot of graduates leave feeling like they have learned nothing at all. According to my finisher I'm not the only student he had that came from truck dynasty that didn't get taught alot of simple things.
If I wasn't such a self taught person my wife and I would of been screwed. Luckily for us I learn better on my own, so I kinda took the basics of what they said and we got through enough to pass.
Then I talk to people who went to Crowder and they have nothing but amazing things to say about it. Makes me feel like we missed out on alot.CJ701, paul_4lp and hollywood76 Thank this. -
I feel your pain, man. I went through CRST to get my CDL. Haha. But I’m the same as you; learn better on my own and through experience. Thank god. Otherwise I would have been totally screwed. The recruiter already said he’d be going through Crowder but we’ll see what happens when it gets closer. He’s still in the beginning phases, just know studying the handbook to take his written exams.
paul_4lp, hollywood76 and Cerberus XVI Thank this. -

I started at crst, then jb hunt dcs, then cfi. Did a dedicated linehaul for conway/xpo and liked that. Cfi has some good long distance linehaul work for teams that solo drivers never see. Daylight transport and yellow/roadway east from CA and other house accounts. Same as any company; avoid the b team and weekend ops. They will mess you up.
Turned in my truck over the weekend going o/o. If I was sticking to company driver I'd stay at cfi. Nothing but grownups. Unlike crst. Jb was decent people but no money. -
