The WorkWell Physical is not done by the doctor doing the DOT. In Albuquerque, it is done by a physical therapy clinic. The DOT physical is a typical DOT. I had to get down to underwear and put on a gown for the DOT. Don't know how they do it for females.

In phoenix you have to undress down to your underwear. If you've been released for work by your doctor, then just take your release with you. My husband just finished the class a couple of weeks ago and there was guy who'd had his neck broken in the past. He couldn't get ahold of his doctor to get a release form so they even drove him to a doctor for an exam and release to work. (he had to pay the doctor)

Well, it looks as though I have the bad news bears...I was 10 lbs light from the 75, I had to struggle but they are sending me home without even getting to finish the test. Heart rate and pressure were great throughout. I saw some that I found it hard to believe they let pass. Go figger!! Anyone got any lines on where they will take a driver with years of experience, good safety record and one problem, a points violation, but it was not shown as points, and is only 3 days.

    Thanks

I would approach this from the following viewpoint: Don't mention sleep apnea unless they. IF they do, No, you no longer have sleep apnea, thus the reason for no tonsils and uvula. You had corrective surgery several years ago. No more sleep apnea......... think of it like Lasic... you used to wear glasses, now you have great vision.

So much for Swift letting the work well slide. No lifting belt. I made it to more than what I thought. It was the 85 that got me. Actually, I got myself. When I went to lift the box to the top shelf, I let my psyche get overrode and said to myself and noone else "Hope I can Do This" The PT doing the test heard me and immediatelt pulled me from the test. I actually went back and lifted the weight, but did a little twist on the last lift....He had already made up his mind. And all I had left to do was the carrying part. So do not even talk to yourself. The ######## hear you! I just got off the bus home an hour ago. I was so depressed I wanted to cry all the wayon the bus home. There were other factors in yesterday, but they were personal, not professional. I can't help but toi say to myself....Maybe it was destiny! The Lady at the Motel told me there is not one happy Swift driver that she has seen. And I saw one who was on probation and according to him ( for some reason I don't soubt this) the black box on the truck keeps saying he is following too close and he has never had an accident in 5 years. I told him that I would ask for another trucxk since they obviously are not fixing that one, and why lose his safey record, and job if it is a mechanical failure. I told him that I would give notice and leave before they could pin something on me. He also said that Swift is weding out drivers by the fistful to cut costs.....HMMMMM

I've never heard that they let the work well slide. They're pretty strict on it from what I know. They wanted you to lift 85 lbs to the shelf? And did you ask to wear the belt and were told no or just didn't take it?

They said they do not do belts. But I and the other 3 guys doing the test noticed that this PT seemed to have his eyes on me all the time, and not on them, as if he was waiting to say something, or catch me doing it wrong. I asked for belt, bu they said there were none. In the end, I pushed the issue and did the 85, but on the third one I twisted a tad. Heck, I was expended. He still let me go, telling me I couldn't do the rest. Heck the rest was the easy part.

I have a few more irons in the fire, I can't get down on this.

    Thanks!

This is was one of the reasons this year I started back on my workout routines to pass that dreaded DOT test and get in fit.. Some companies not liking student obese drivers, I will do anything to get past orientation..
