Do you use any Truck Stop Scanning services?
Which service or truck stop do you use it at?
Does your company require you to use it to turn in paperwork?
Do you get paid faster from your company by using it?
Tell me what you think about it..

Transport America requires stuff to be sent in on Transflo. They're at a few different chains. It's usually pretty painless and quick (depending on what kind of mental giant you're standing behind that thinks that the clerk WANTS attention from them - NOT). It probably helps the payment process, and also their billing process to their customers. The faster information gets transmitted, the faster all of the billing and payments can be made.
Mighty Mouse Thanks this. -
1. I have used and prefer to use it. It also gives a confirmation number to show it was sent/recieved. company cannot say they did not get it. a type of CYA to me. BTW it is called Transflo.
2. Any truck stop has from what i came across. Pilots/TA's/Flying j/Petro. I always found pilot to be the easiest. they do it for you.
3. If that is the way a company recieves your paperwork , then the answer is yes.
4. Yes you do since they recieve it almost instantly.
5. It's great and very secure and very fast.Mighty Mouse Thanks this. -
Altho various truck stops have scanning devices, there are actually at least 2 different systems out there. Transflo's are at the Pilots, Love's, and Bosselmans. Forget what the TA's is called but it is definelty not Transflo and neither is the Flying J's.
I like using it because you get to keep the paperwork in case your company screws up on your reimbursements. Don't have to make your own copies for CYA that way. -
I think the TA's are TripScan not sure though. But yeah my company requires we send everything in using TransFlo including logs for that trip, and receipts for the trip as well as a bubble sheet as a cover sheet. The bubble sheets can be a pain sometimes if you have multiple fuel receipts, scale and what not. But I like it because of the conformation number and you know they got it plus i never really trusted the tripak boxes.

Pilots,Loves and a few mom no pop tks stops use Transflow.
TA,Petro uses Trippak scanning, as do some mon n pops tk stops.
Flying J, uses thier own scanning system, not assocaited with Transflo or Trippak.
My company used both trans and Trip. We also have Trnasflow scanners at 5 of our terminals around the country. Als we can download the software, and scan it from the truck, provided we have a scanner in the truck. -

Ski bum
You said that your company uses both Transflo and TripPak scanning. Which one do you prefer? -
I have to rescan a few trip using trip pak. Seems like they lose infomation somewhere in cyber space. Hve never had a problem with Transflow, except a new employee at loves, once tried to force me to pay to scan my trip. I said no, my company already pays. She said, you stil must pay for US to scan it, Is there a manager i can speak with?
Manger comes over, i informed him i was being asked to pay to have my trips scanned. Manager said he was sorry, and that he would speak to the person. Offered me a cup of coffee for my trouble.
A side note, i personaly try to wait till late at night when things are slow, as to not to be the cause of a large line, while waiting to have trips scanned.
I sometimes get loads, that the bol is 40+ pages long, ( Proctor and Gamble,) and we have to scan every one in with the trip sheet.
