Not a rest area kinda guy. If I get blocked in I would worry about asking the guy to move thats in my way. He might be some big burly pickle picker.
Rest Areas.. What's not to like?

Put a 5 chime Leslie Blaster set on the frame drive it with a barrel of air at 150 PSI. HOOOOOOOOOT. Shakes the very ground.
I miss the old steam ones. They are almost alive to the ears. I don't think there are too many who would understand.
Stransburg homeaward bound pulling Carpenters Greoffs Hill.
Working steam and pulling hard against each one of these 110,000 pound wooden rail cars dating to around 1885 on some of them Others from 1896 and a couple from the 1910's The engine is about 102 years old. You can see it rocking side to side against the rails while pulling. That would be the same as us at Torque with no more downshifts possible. Cutoff is full out regulator wide open (Which is why the Safety valve is popping, roughly 109 PSI to 230ish at most live steam. And the pressures are dropping during the pull. So it should make the top with that 600 ton load before it drops too much in steam pressure to be able to move forward. Speeds are not terribly fast, maybe 25 or so at most running for the hill. Come over the top at about 14 or so. No hurry.
The rocking of the passenger cars tell me the speeds are between 18 to 22 or so, this is where a harmonic frequency sets up while the wheel trucks are hunting side to side and if allowed to stay at that speed eventually the cars will rock right off the track. So you have a choice. Speed up (Which isnt happening, the small puffs every 4th revolution says shes at full foot on the floor wide open and still gravity slowing down) Or you can slow down below 15 and they will stop rocking soon enough.
The rail is actually 39 foot bolted rail been in place since about 1905 more or less.
They actually do bring in freight to East Strasburg yard near Lancaster so that truckers come out and off load from rail car to 18 wheeler and take it to the City. Or transfer outgoing loads and it goes anywhere in the USA by rail car.

All the women are freaking HUGE too.
I've never seen a place with so many cemeteries. That could be the problem, most of the population is dead, and the ones that are alive spend all their time burying all the deceased.
They have no hot chili.
You pull up to an intersection with a stop sign.
Everywhere in the United States, even California, there may be a sign that says "cross traffic does not stop."
In Indiana it says " traffic from left and right does not stop."
That sign tells the whole story.stwik, TheyCallMeDave, x1Heavy and 2 others Thank this. -

The J I was parked at by Texarkana last night always turns into a FULL fluster cluck.
I woke up about 2130 and there was a spot open next to me and some guy whose second or third language is English with a REALLY F/U set up going to make an attempt.
So I'm getting out to pee on one of the mega's parked behind me, and some guy 3 trucks down gets out and start reaming this guy about tearing my hood off, or the truck on the other side, and to get the hell out of here.
So I'm thinking just wow, and there's plenty of room to make it, if he just sets it up right.
And it's can't see anything dark.
So, I'm standing there trying to un-mind melt from my one cat, and the dude sets up for another attempt.
So, I spot for him, and he gets parked, and him and the cats are very happy.
