In the song ‘Me and Ol’ CB’, DAVE Dudley sings:
“There goes Circle City Peddler boy he's getting fat,
He make is turn in Derby Town I couldn't live like that.”
Is getting physically fat or is he making a lot of money? And what about his lifestyle does the singer disagree with?
Thanks.
Explain these song lyrics please

Well I looked up the lyrics and apparently it does say "Derby town". I thought DIRTY town made more sense!

Derby town has always been Louisville because of the Kentucky Derby. Indie has been know as Circle City. I think they had one of the first bypasses or something. Before my time.
I would guess the driver took a job just running down and backninatead of being a "real driver" in the song.frizzbees Thanks this. -

"The plan, known as the Mile Square, is bounded by East, West, North, and South streets, centered on a traffic circle, called Monument Circle (originally Governor's Circle), from which Indianapolis's "Circle City" nickname originated."
And I always thought it was because of the Indy 500...Rideandrepair, jsnell, homeskillet and 1 other person Thank this. -
