    Still is...

BC requires a "financial responsibility" permit for non-resident commercial vehicles. Links attached.
Commercial Transport Regulations (COMMERCIAL TRANSPORT REGULATIONS)
Commercial Transport Regulations (Division 6 — Non-resident Vehicles)

In case you also want to review any other information regarding commercial vehicle operation in BC, or contact Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement : CVSE - Home

You'll have to buy a fuel permit in Watson Lake(~200.) For Alaska you can get a temp(no plate) for 299 or go to the DMV in Tok and get a plate for 331 for a year for the tractor and 20 for the trailer.(State of Alaska | DMV Registration Cost)

Thanks for your advice, i finally got the trip on Friday, going to load tomorrow Monday and thankfully unloading next week Monday there. Any other advice will be appreciated (like where to fuel, things to avoid, etc).

Like to thanks anyone giving some kind of advice like the one telling me to go north to get to Alaska, i already knew that one, although i will appreciate more the real ones like where to get best fuel prices, where to stop for permits and food and specially the one about getting some kind of load back to the US although that will be a miracle i suppose.

You're taking the load blindly with no thought of getting back? I sure hope it pays $35k like someone said above.

I always flew Alaska Air, stopped at SEATAC to switch planes to go direct to Anchorage. Check out Darwins on 3rd st, if memory serves me right, it may still be there. Ice cold beer. ;-)

To 86Scotty, to be honest with you, i would have take the trip for free if i could afford to do it, it's something i have to do at least once in my life, just that I have to paid bills like everybody else and i can't do it for free but i know that i will have to return to BC or Vancouver, (maybe Seattle) to get loaded, i am expecting that and count on it. And no, i am not getting $35,000 to go to Anchorage, and i suppose that nobody will get this money either, except in war time and paid for uncle sam in a hurry.

dunchues, x1Heavy and 86scotty Thank this.
