My recommendation is to call the dealer and request a copy of your paperwork, and going forward to never leave a dealership without a copy. Consider it this way - it's unlikely that you would take your personal vehicle in to a dealership and leave without wanting a copy of the repair work, so treat your semi the same way. -
Thank you for getting back to me so soon
Belials Thanks this. -
Just bought a new 2019 389. Have 4500 miles on it. 565 hp X15 performance. Looking to put a TriPac Evolution on it. Does that affect warranty? Heard from someone that it voids the warranty. Don’t understand how Peterbilt can sell a tractor with a sleeper, tell you not to idle it, but not allow an APU!?!?
-
1 - I've never heard of an APU voiding a warranty.
2 - Peterbilt warranty and Cummins warranty (X15) would be entirely different.
In any case, I can't see any reason in any way how the APU would void any of your warranties unless there's some weird setup with that specific model which requires modifying the vehicle some way. -
Is there A difference in a paccar px7 and a Cummins isb engine?
-
Cummins builds the PX-7 / PX-9 and Paccar markets them under the "PX" designator.
If you buy it from Cummins, you're getting an ISB 6.7, if you buy it from Paccar you're getting a PX-7.
It's the same engine.macman Thanks this. -
Same engine as the Ram pickups too is it not?

macman Thanks this.
