That was in Pomona. Luckily I just got done talking to him and they ended up getting a run to Pennsylvania.

RCs wife Did you ever hear from any expedite companies?I was curious.I am keeping an eye out for RC.
Rocks- Do you pull wal-mart trailers? That would make it easier to spot you.I pick up loads out of Seymour,In.sometimes.There is a Wal-mart DC there.I will keep an eye out for you.
    I wish you all well.

Yes, I do. Now I am at Hutchins terminal. Trk needs new air dryer and check some problem with suspension... hopefully repairs will be done in time to dlvr load before Monday 23:59. Otherwise will have to hand load to another trk. Nice warm weather here in TX :biggrin_25519: which is a great change! You all stay well.

I thought the QC got it's signal from satellite and so should work anywhere except maybe if you are under a fuel island canopy or under trees?

ampmWayne we never did hear from any of the expedite companies. I'm guessing it's the same old story (3 year work history/year on US license).

    Latest update.

Team Redcoat has been sitting near Columbus, Ohio since Friday. Their 48 hours were up at 6 this morning. Redcoat told me yesterday that since they will qualify for layover pay today that the company will probably MT move them to keep from having to pay them layover pay. I accused him of being a cynic.

Let me be the first admit that Redcoat was right. Check this out. This is how this company works. About an hour ago they got a load assignment over the QC. They get to run 14 miles MT to pick up a load and then take it 50 miles to Fairborn, OH for delivery. The load gets picked up at 10 tonight. So they get the hassle of a half-hour's worth of paperwork and working late at night and they each will make $9.60 for their effort. AND -- this is the best part -- this is a load that the dispatcher knew about Friday night. It looks like the DM was just sitting on it to give to Team Redcoat after their 48 hours ran out.

When Redcoat told me about it, I just busted out laughing. That's all you can do at such a blatant screwing. :ky:

    Stay tuned.

So It seems as though it came across as "RANTING" MCR wasn't far away from the truth, and they do more to avoid paying anything out to the driver....consider the fact that if they dispatch you on a dedicated run, with multiple stops, they claim that they don't pay the stops if the account is set up that way, but how as the driver do you know which is which? What if it does pay it and they tell you no?
And we all know that any company will not do multiple stops without being
    paid something.......
Maybe one day as MCR had hoped, the drivers will get fed up with these practices....and they will demand change. What has happened with RC shows that they play with you like a fish on a hook, it's not cheap to live out here, and when you are layed over, you should be paid to cover some of your expenses,if you are in the truck, you are working, away from home
acruing expenses......and all this time needs to be "PAID".

Thanks for the up-date RC wife.I hate that things are not going well. The most frustrating thing about situations such as RC is he is willing to work, needs to work, has his wife as his biggest supporter. But,Covanent either can not make it work or wont make it work.Dispatching a team on a 50 mile trip is not making it work.
I am blessed to drive for the company I work for.Reading threads like this one helps keep me grounded.I really feel that the answer is get your experence the find a smaller co. I just hope you guys can hang-in there that long.
I am glad to hear Rocks is happier than most.Canibal-man seems to be wise enough to make it.I get the impression he is no dummy when it comes to this trucking mess.I miss MCR.I hope he gets things turned-around.
I have a load tomorrow going to Michigan. It has a stop in Miamisburg,Ohio on the way.I will keep an eye out for RC. in Ohio.
    I wish you all well.

Phew! I started out reading every post. Then realized there was no way I felt like I could stand it, so, Just read RCW's posts. It's weird , I almost feel like I know you. I work for a local company and after reading the horror story here, I feel maybe I better just stick to this or figure out something entirely different to do. I will keep reading this post.

What a waste of money Covenant is doing, useing a team to do local runs.
I can see a solo doing that, cause it happenes to me But my co pays a $100.00 for anything under 300 miles, plus the miles, plus the hourly pay.
But making a team to do a 50 miles local, just isn't right.
