DH is picking up a load Monday and he works for TMC. I don't think they would be picking up loads if they were in as much trouble as you've been led to believe. Besides, if they were in financial trouble I think the first thing to go would be weekly mandatory truck washes and that hasn't happened yet. Everyone is slow right now, that doesn't mean everyone is closing their doors. You scale back where you need to and keep on going.

I can not believe anyone would say that. No one is his or her right mind would want a carrier to go out of business.
Do you have any idea how many people are hurt when this happens. Just think about it. It's not only the drivers and other employees who are with the company. It's entire families who suffer. The vendors suffer, anyone who does business with that company is affected. If the company is large enough, entire communities are affected.
Do you honestly think that they are the only carrier on the planet that is cutting rates to keep their drivers and other employees busy. If you do think that you need to have your head examined.
If you were truly worried about your friends you wouldnt have even posted something like that. With you as a friend who needs enemies?

If you don't care, why ask the question? It's obvious you weren't worried about your friends with the response you gave. How you can wish that upon anyone at a time like this is beyond me. Would you want me wishing for your company to go under??? I think not.

Is it possible that his "friends" aren't really friends? This "person" either is the most stupid person on the earth or is trying to start something about TMC to get people to believe that they are going out. You know about gossip... But, that would take intelligence of some sort and I don't know what the other poster has it. Maybe he is just ignorant. Either way, it's not the thing to wish for. Whaddaya think?

I think we understood this person perfectly well. To worry about your friends in one breath and then wish their company to go under in the next is quite a contradiction. I know I wouldn't want a friend of that caliber.

Not to justify what the poster has said, but think a little bit here.

TMC pays by percentage. If they cut the rates to get freight, they are in fact cutting the driver salary as well.

This poster could in fact be someone that has experienced this and is not feeling great toward the company.
