I can keep all my important items with me, and my Tupperware containers stay hidden when I loot the buffet at the iron skillet.

Anything is better than a fanny pack.

How does society grow and advance? By learning from each other. If I see something that works well, I am going to emulate it. If I see someone "fail", I learn not to follow them. I get the benefit of their experience with minimal expenditure of my own resources.
