I can get up there pretty close with the pusher up, but with it down 14 is about all unless I cheat
i've always considered 3/4 to be just that 3/4 of a rail. Or an upside down L laid inside the main rail. Where as a full double is a c inside of a c. You can always triple rail. They used to do that a lot. Don't know if it's still common

Interesting, are there states where you need the 425’s to get 20,000?

I can get about 19 up there with the big trailer when I pull it with the jeep off and about 15 with the drop down because it has a longer neck. With my regular trailer it’s about 17 with the drop up and 12 with it down. My new trailer will have enough swing with it’s flip down to slide all the way up. My next truck will have enough slide (and no stupid 60” spacings) to get 20 with the drop down, I wanna be able to gross 160,000. My concern is how much I’ll have up there when I pick up the drop and try to back into these tight job sites.

Interesting I don’t think I’ve ever seen that, there used to be some dump trucks around here with triple frames. Pretty heavy.

My understanding was that a full insert is the full length of the rails; while a 3/4 insert begins at the rear of the cab and goes to the rear End of the frame.

All the factory inserts I have seen that didn't go all the way back. Started up front. Or few feet behind the front spring pin shackles and ran back to behind the cab to a few feet in front of the rears. That section there has the most flex and is more prone to cracking.

Talked to my kw sales guy....

I said weight would be 140K.

The big single is ok up to 236” over that it’s partial inserts to 260”. Above 260” they are going to want full double frame. To cert for that kinda weight.

By the way ... he was proud to say the Mx would be 7K cheaper and 500-700 lbs lighter depending.....That’s Both the red and Mx @ 500/1850......

    600/2050 red lists as 20K more ...:)

I wonder if it's worth 20k more or are they just trying to encourage the sales of the mx?

If I ever do a complete restoration of a Pete, first thing in the scrap bin is that clutch pedal. Hate it.

We don't have a single KW in the fleet pulling our 19 axle superloads.

Mack Titans or Pete 389's for power, Western Star 4900's for pushers.

Currently updating the fleet to Pete 567's.
