warranty and quality, minimizer has their own engineers that made small improvements and modifications. i didn't see an ISRI seat with the two section back, the minimizer seat has two levers there, one for the hip pivot and one for the lower back pivot. the seat cushion is also much flatter, and firmer. no memory foam, dense supportive automotive seat cushion foam, stuff you would feel in a land rover or corvette or something. at first it feels super stiff, but it breaks in to YOUR rear, and is then very very supportive, just where it needs to be. like those old tractor seats are hard as a rock, but ergonomic, so you can sit in them all day and not feel a thing.

minimizer makes those indestructible poly fenders, basically if you can break it, they'll replace it, forever. and get this, i got it installed by a diesel shop next to the store i bought it from, paid about 400 bucks in labor for them to wire it in and install it. one of the switches broke on the seat (the cable came loose inside) and didn't work. Minimizer approved warranty replacement (the entire seat) within one day, and get this, they mailed me a gift card for the $400 installation (re-installation). they sent a brand new seat to the same place, and i sent the old seat back in the new box. $400, just to be nice.

To be honest, I never saw a gold. I had driven a truck for a few months several years ago when I was a company driver and it had a silver in it. It fit me good and I liked it. So when it was time for a new seat for my own truck, I really didn’t even look at anything else.

Not to say there’s not another seat that I might like better. Just that I knew the silver worked well for me and seats are too expensive to just buy and try.

If you guys get to a truck show the seat guys have displays set up. Some dealerships have them out as well. But without driving in the thing for 11 hours........

That's correct just sitting in it for 10 minutes doesn't do it

It takes a few hours to know whether it's comfortable or it feels like someone punched you in the butt.

There is one over sized stuffed leather chair I have my eye on at the local furniture shop across the street. Its about 360 all done in retail pricing. I know that when I sit in it and even recline to the trendlenburg position which is a special position that is angled beyond flat sleeping towards the head being lower than the feet to assist in oxygenating the brain for medical purposes when necessary. the muscles and arthritis cease to matter.

I also know I cannot use chairs too long. If the bones don't get me using them too much, the muscles lose function for sitting too long. I cannot win for either standing or sitting. It's crazy.

    Rideandrepair and Lepton1 Thank this.

I bought a legacy and hate it. I had 2 Sears Elites in a Pete I had 3 or so trucks ago and they were the best seats. Can't find them up here and special order is crazy. When I ran out to Texas use to see them at Joplin petro but don't get out there anymore. Wish I could find a dealer on the east coast or Carolinas that stock them.
