    Third choice.

Make sure you put away the 5000 dollars WHEN PAID directly into a safe at home, or a savings account at your bank not tied to debit card or checks etc. That way it's really hard to get to that money.

Add to it with unspent money.

I like the container idea the best. You will run out of Bethlehem PA all the time loaded and those will have to be unloaded at 47 dollars to start. The other two are 15 minutes to earn your hourly pay, 15 minute blocks. I don't think you will earn 47 dollars that easily.

The slip seat? Shugs it's the company truck. carry a brief case and a coffee thermos plus food money. You will be fine.

You will not be running into the core Boroughs of NYC. That's a benefit. (Believe it or not...)

It has the largest territory to run in. Which potentially offsets your .38.5 cents a mile. (Kind of lowish but not bad if you can get up and run)

Allentown has an incredible amount of local job opportunities. Don't know how many years experience you have, but you might wanna look into these as well....

Grocery Haulers (Brenigsville) - Hauling for Bimbo Bakeries. You can make around $300 a day from the start. They were Union, then Non Union and now probably back to being Union.

Dean Foods/Lehigh Valley - Union gig. Delivering milk. Various different positions from Tanker, DSD, Drop and Hook, etc. Good money to be made. Free healthcare.

LTL - All kinds of different LTL companies around there. ODFL is probably the top pick. Pitt Ohio offers free healthcare.

Black Horse Carriers - Make around $70-90k a year doing various different dedicated accounts from Aldi, Automotive, etc.

CPC Logistics - This you might wanna put at the bottom of your list. They do Walgreens. All hand unload. Good money though.

Nestle - Not the highest paid gig. They have DSD, Linehaul and OTR.

Kroger/Turkey Hill - DSD work. Almost like Foodservice.

    And many many others.

Thank you for your response. I will talk to them and probably go for the third choice since i already have experience with containers and its closer to home. Also i really don’t want to go to New York.

Then it's settled. Make sure you understand where Bethlehem is and what you have to do to get to it. If it's the Bethlehem in the mountains of NW pa you need a truck with horses to get in and up there.

Im telling you up front, there is one particular light by a major river at the bottom of about a mile of downgrade to a T. If you fade out on braking you are going into the water. It's to the east of Bethlehem. You might have to pull it to get in there.

    I hope you like mountains.

Thank you for taking your time looking up those local jobs around me. I only have 8 months of experience and currently employed for Transcorps at Harrisburg delivering containers out of the ramp to distribution centers all over PA. Do you think i should stay there for 1 year experience? Only reason i want to leave its becuase i have to drive 1hr and 30 mins to work and back.
I like the free healthcare idea, i pass by bimbo bakeries everyday when going to work. I will probably look into that and also black horse, they have lovely new trucks.

only a hour and 30 minutes when you do driving all day? That's it?

You better stay. One year or more without trouble or DAC etc will write you a golden ticket.

Rojazmorillo and Sho Nuff Thank this.

I drive my car 1hr:30 from Allentown to Harrisburg. Get in my truck for 10-13 hours then drive back in my car to Allentown for another 1hr:30. Brenigsville its only 10 mins from my house.
