I remember when customs seized shipping containers full of womens shoes, athletic shoes, boots, mens shoes, that were counterfeits of expensive brands. Customs planned to show the difference and how the consumer was being ripped off. The took the shoes, boots, etc. apart and after extensive study discovered the counterfeits were actually better than the real shoes, boots, etc. These were shipped from China to the USA.

My favorite Chinese bootleg was this one...
Inside Joyland: China's Brazenly Fake 'Warcraft' Theme Park
China's Massively Illegal World of Warcraft Theme Park - IGN
Cliffnotes version... - They basically opened a theme park based on World of Warcraft which is owned by Blizzard. Insanely popular online game world wide and of all time. Grandaddy to a lot of online games you see today(That info is for the non-gamers). They ripped off the entire idea of the game an turned into an amusement park. Now mind you they did have the decency to change some names an the like. An some of the images but those who play, have played or know anything about Blizzard and WoW, can tell it's a rip off.
The fact they did it, an right out in the open an not really giving two ####s what Blizzard, or US thought about it is what makes me go..wtf. WoW isn't as popular in the US these days, still one of the leaders, but it's still crazy popular in China, and many other countries in Asia. Same with Grand Theft Auto. You do that in the US on that level your kin from the future will still be paying the judgement.
Whether the stuff is made better in China or the US isn't the issue. The fact your blatantly ripping off another company is what gets me. An while shoes made an sold in China may be better made, I can assure you the walmart version with made in China on them fall apart pretty quickly if you put them through anything more then walking around your house or to the mailbox. I go through sneakers fast due to I like to walk. So I buy the cheapies at Walmart so I don't ruin an expensive pair...I probably buy new ones every couple of months. Mainly cause the soles start to separate from the rest of the shoe or they blow out by the toe. They serve my purpose tho, so I'm not hating. LOL.
China is on my bucket list to visit someday, the country, not the poster...no offense Chinatown. LOL.
Sirscrapntruckalot - So if I complain about the country I should leave...yet...freedom speech means I can #####, moan, complain, whatever...whether you agree or not. Don't like it? Perhaps you should move.kemosabi49, Chinatown and mpd240 Thank this. -
The constitution is like many religious documents. We take the parts we like and beat the drum while ignoring the parts that we don't like. The first amendment must have been important to the framers of the constitution since it was the first one.

Yea...cherry picking. It's even done when it comes to the constitution and bill of rights.
Kinda sad, but eh...it's all good. I'll continue to be accepting of things outside of my "normal", till I have a reason not to. Censorship, limiting speech, etc is never a good thing to me. Nor is targeting specific group or religion of people. Catholics, Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc have all done bad/evil in some way, shape or form. I don't judge the entire faith though based on a select group if idiots. Just like I don't judge an entire race on the acts of idiots in said race. White, black, Asian, Middle eastern, African, whatever...I'll judge you on YOUR actions not those of others. Same with sexuality, equality and all that fun stuff. Respect me an my views, an I'll do the same for you.
I reckon that makes me a delusional fool but eh...life is far to short to go around an spend it assuming the worse about people. Enough hate in the world, an plenty of people contributing to it, so they don't need me adding on. Plus I got better things to do then hate. It takes a lot of effort an quite the toll to hate so much an often.
By the way, yesterday it was 50 cent corn dog day at Sonic. - random piece of useless info #3447490
Sirscrapntruckalot - Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured. - Mark Twain, feel free to substitute anger for hate.
