Tractor trailer catches fire on loading dock, spreads to Rocky Hill warehouse

Yikes! What could have caused this??

ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) - A tractor trailer truck caught fire and spread to a food distribution warehouse in Rocky Hill on Thursday night.

The Deputy Fire Marshal says that at around 9:07 p.m., the Rocky Hill Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at Burris Logistics, which is a large food distribution warehouse at 490 Brook Street.
Upon arrival, firefighters found that the front of a tractor trailer, which was attached to the load dock, was on fire and that the flames had extended to the warehouse through the opened loading dock roll-up door.
Fire crews were able to get the fire under control at around 9:44 p.m. with no injuries reported.
The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time. The fire remains under investigation.

Wow! Looks like maybe a faulty refer unit? Maybe vapor buildup inside trailer ignited by the forklift? Any number of reasons. Glad no one was injured.

I am happy to see no one got hurt or compromise the ammonia systems for cold storage.

Now. I am curious about one thing. Assuming the trailer is a total loss and it's contents, does the cold storage pay the loss or does the trucking company pay it?

I was looking for the same as well.

The media has gotten really poorly lately a bunch of numb nuts unable to write a simple fire report without hogging onto the same scary words capable of upsetting the DC rush hour crowd... Big scary tractor trailer etc. //snark.

I offer a parting shot that the media itself is in decline and is a liability of and itself.
