I love it. I go by my house about every day. Usually take my 10 at the house every other day or 3rd day. Same roads. I know all the parking spots...all the secret parking spots. I like the mountains. 40 west of Amarillo is torture to me. I'd be happy to do this permanently.

My assumption, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, was that he'd docked somewhere that required him to slide his tandems back, and then forgot to slide them forward when he left.

And then drove two hours from Chesapeake to Richmond wondering why he kept pulling the tandems over the curb every time he turned.

But that's where all the good Indian restaurants are!

I'm in the same boat as you with respect to the mountains. I love driving through West Virginia. Still haven't gotten tired of the WV Turnpike despite driving it several dozen times by now in both directions over the past two years.

I do like the occasional trip out west for the change of scenery and to get some Indian food, but I don't think I would like doing it all the time. I like my short, Eastern US runs.

Simply not knowing how to drive has a bit of a bearing on that too, IMHO.

    Which do you like better?

    77, or 79?

Yea, it's boring for me out that far. I live in WV and have family in Charleston and family in OH in Dayton. I'm not much into Indian food, but those casino's hard good grub from what I can remember.

I don't get on 79 in West Viginia very often. In fact, I think I've only been on it once, going to the Lumber Liquidators plant in Beverly.

Usual route is either I-77 from Wytheville (where the Gatorade plant is) to US35 just outside of Charleston. Occasionally we'll go I-64 from Richmond to the WVT to US35.

The oft-mentioned porn store in Pliny is, in fact, on US35 in West Virginia. Right next door to a Presbyterian church. I keep meaning to stop and take a picture that has both signs in one shot, but haven't done it yet.
