I worked dispatch for a local company that did a lot of air freight. We only had about 10 drivers, but they delivered in the morning, and then we had picks ups coming in all day long for the guys that I had to give them the info on. It was pretty much non-stop chaos all day long.

Since I still can't PM I have a question, but I don't want to crash the thread. I know your husband finished his 35 segments. Is he still in the 6 month period following that, or is he actually team driving now?

Dispatch does get crazy, doesn't it Sis??
I had this sense of possessivness about MY BOYS! When they were in that truck or under a load, they were MY BOYS, and I didn't want any other dispatcher messing with them. Period. I always forwarded the office phone to my cell when I left for home, I didn't care what time they called with a problem.. If they were lost at midnight, I handled helping them find where they needed to go. If they had a flat at 3 am, I got road service out there. No-one else was allowed to do that. They were my drivers and MY responsibility! -
I was the ONLY dispatcher! Yep, they were my boys. We had a lot of fun too.
